Motherhood is a blessing for every girl. All your pains and worries vanish when your baby smiles at you. But do you stop smiling when you stand in front of a mirror? Do you start your diet plan every day and make it a history next day? Do you envy all the actresses who are mum but in shape? If the answer is yes, then I guess I am on track.

Celeb Working Moms

Those days are gone when motherhood used to lead to a flabby fat body. Many Bollywood mom icons, like Karisma Kapoor, Malaika Arora Khan, Twinkle Khanna and most recent being the Lara Dutta and Shilpa Shetty have proved that you can remain in shape, be fit and stylish. In fact these women have been a ray of hope to many Indian women who are going the family way, I being one of them.

Walking through a music store, what caught my eye was a prenatal yoga CD by Lara Dutta and without thinking twice I picked it up. After fighting my pregnancy and baby morning blues, just a few minutes to ease myself with those easy yoga tricks have done wonders to me.

Of course a balanced diet followed and I am just as I was in my pre-pregnancy phase, only a scar being an addition on the body.

Start Early

I dreaded being fat with extra layers on my belly post-delivery, so I started early. And I am not the only one, there are many more who are a treat to eyes after having baby too.

The new age moms whether in Bollywood whom we see on television or that pretty lady in your society, many have realized the importance of staying healthy and looking good even after having kids. Today Indian woman is capable of beating every notion and turn the table around, be it at work or home.

Wondering where to start from?

Your body is divine and unique, it needs time to recover from the trauma of birth. So take it easy and motivate yourself for every step.  May be stop dieting for a while, treat yourself, buy yourself nice lingerie or a dress and feel good. Once you are up for it, commit to your goal.

Every aspirant who wants to be one them, must do at least 2 to 3 days of cardiovascular workout. It can be as simple as walking turning into brisk walk.

Post pregnancy, our abdominal muscles loosen up and will have considerably less elasticity. So, toning these muscles will help increase the circulation and help bring back your pre-pregnancy figure. You can start with basic and easy pelvic tilts, crunches or bicycle kick, key is to follow a routine and you will feel the difference.

Fasten up ladies, there is no tomorrow, its only today and a fairy tale awaits you ahead when your kids will say ‘Momma you look gorgeous’.
