    Such a cute thread! Apt for its name :)

    Mine is 17 months and dont exactly say words per say to form conversations but responds if we ask a question with similar sounds...

    Me: Whats your name baby
    DD: me (for megha)

    when I ask how does a certain animals roar, she makes the respective sound:

    Lions Roar: Arrrrhhh
    Tiger: Grrrrraaahhh
    Dog: bow bow
    kangaroo: Boing
    Crow: Kaaa
    Sheep: Baa baa
    Sing song bird: coo coo

    coffee = kha-pha
    cha = chaya
    cat's mewing = main aavun (its sounds as if he says like this!!)
    chaddi = chidi

    My baby is 18 months and her common words are:

    saadi (sorry)
    thanku (thank you)
    buthethy (butterfly)
    cal (car)
    lally (lorry)
    parka (park)
    harlich (horlicks)
    booth (boost)
    cookel (cooker)

    when i ask her what does cooker say, she says mammu lely (mammu[food] ready)

    aamy (paani for water)
    bichi (biscuit)
    chip (chips)
    .....

    My little brother who is just about to be 3 had come from US to attend another cousin sister's wedding. After the wedding and all the whirlwind died down , the bride the groom and close knit family were sitting together having some lemonade when my baby bro turned to my cousin and asked '' Nisha , Is that your husband?".
    It was sooooc cute I tell you and my cousin realised that he was the very first person ever to ask her this!

    So cute! I am in love with this thread! Last night she was not eating her dinner. I was so exhausted by then that I kinda reprimanded her. Since she saw a change in my otherwise very gentle tone, she went..

    "Oh oh" with tears in her eyes. Who wouldn't melt after that?

    i am expecting my 2 baby..7 months...we told ur dd abt this..i showed my bulged tummy told that "kutti pappa" is inside..give a kiss to pappa...every i will tell this and she she ll kiss in my tummy..today i showed my bare tummy and asked to kiss..she kissed and said "amma moodi"(close):rotfl and covered my dress...
    everyday this cutie speaks some new words...:kiss

    My DD is 19 months, she is not talking as such. but some words are very cute to hear when she says it.

    when someone asks her when i am not around, where is amma, she replies "OOOppice" :)

    hi.. my dd turned 2 on june 25...now she speaks a 2 to 3 words as a sentence..amma thanni kodu(give water)
    now a days she is attached to her father closely..only dh feeds her,make her sleep..even i shouldnt rock the cradle...amma nee poo poo..daddy atti(mom u go..dad only rock)

    My DD1 is 4yrs now. When she was 20 months... she used to say these words. Now whenever i will tell them to her, she is like 'appdiya sonnein' (did i say like that ?)

    nanni - thanni (water)
    lellow bappi - Yellow butterfly
    lack bappi - Black butterfly
    pithuka - Balloon
    imikaka - till today i dont know what it is !

    waiting for another cute session with funny words with my DD2 whos 7 months old now :)
