Dear Bhargavi, How is Grandma's sister doing now? Its a noble idea not to do an operation on her and make her undergo the pain at this age. My mami's mother too suffered of breast cancer. But she got operated and survived fr almost 2 decades after that. She never failed to eat an apple everyday!! Good diet will help them withstand the pain too. My Prayers for her. Poornima.

Dear Sriniketan, I felt nostalgic after reading about your chinna paati...I got reminded of my maternal grandma who passed away after a paralytic attack a couple of years ago and I couldnt go as I was here, though I got to meet up with her for a few mins before I left home just a few months before she bid us all goodbye. I wrote a letter to her and she received it a week before she took her last breath. I believe that she had it under her pillow and always read it.... My grandparents were vicitims of cancer too, and I also lost one of my uncle who had intestine cancer. The pain they underwent for the tests and surgery is too much. That is why I feel that if the elderly are diagonised with cancer, its better to give them good physical and mental care instead of keeping them at the hospital. Sorry....looks like a long reply. But just wanted to share. I hope and Pray chinna paati will feel good and gets the best care. Regards Poornima.
