YOUNG TELLER VS OLD LADY - CASH in BETWEEN

An old lady - She handed in her Debit Card at the counter and said “hundred”.

The lady teller behind the counter returned the card back to the old lady stating “for withdrawals of less than 5000 use ATM. Step aside if you have no other matters. See many customers behind you in long queue”.
“Why I can’t withdraw hundred from here?
“That is the rule of the bank.”

“In that case please close the account and give all my cash”.
The teller opened the account and remained non -plussed looking at the figure standing to the credit of the account.

“Madam, you have 9,75,000. Bank is not having this much cash at the moment. I would suggest - you have an appointment for tomorrow to come back and collect”.
The old lady thought for a while.
“In that case tell me what minimum I can with draw from here”.
“Five thousand and upto twenty thousand”

“Then I shall withdraw five thousand in small denominations of 100 & 500.”
Teller had to move out to a corner vault in her cubicle and removed stacks of 100 & 500 and counted.

Handing her the amount 5000, teller said to the old lady and now if you have no other matter, move aside”.
“Yes i do”. She picked up one note from a bundle of hundred dropped it into her wallet and then said, I wish this 4900 deposited into my account”.

The moral of the story - messing up with senior citizens would land one from frying pan to fire.
