Thanks, Raba. in fact I made this into a novel in Tamil. A magazine has shown interest in that.
It's based on a real life incident narrated by my co-trainer. I used to be a trainer for youngsters in those days.

    Dear Sridhar,

This story was touching because it had a human element in it.A touch which is felt and cannot be expressed. Sharadha took over the mantle of her late husbands office and has been successfully running it. Unfortunatley she did not have a companion as such who could talk to her.It took her daughter to reach her after the HR councelling week. Simple exchanges are subtle but it has a everlasting image. Shardha was humble enough to accept a defeat at the hands of a young gentleman[younger in age]. She rewards him handsomely as a token of gratitude because through her daughter she colud traverse back her life.
Motivation is something which needs a skill without hurting the opposite person. This was acheived by Mahendran.

Thanks for a thought provoking story.Keep writing

I have now written a full novel based on this theme.

    Dear Nithyakalyani,
Thanks a lot for your kind comments. This story came in Ananda Vikatan about ten years ago. Womens Era bought this story from me after paying me heavily. But they did not publish the story.
This story is based on a simple incident narrated by my fellow trainer in an youth leadership camp at Kodaikkanal.
I am really happy that you enjoyed the story.
I have been writing all the time, Nithyakalyani.
Even now I am writing a serial story in blog format.
This is the first episode of the serial.
Love! Love! Love! - Episode 1 - IndusLadies
And the whole serial is out and out a human interest story.
    regards,
    sridhar

Once you realise in your heart that it's a mistake, then paradoxically, it's no longer a mistake.
I am really happy to see the positive feelings bubbling inside you. best of luck.
    Thanks for coming in.
