My DD loves having yoghurt plain/fruit flavoured but im scared she will catch cold as temprature here is around 8deg most of the days for next 3 to 4 months. So ladies how do you manage it in winters do you give yoghurt at room temp to your babies or do you completely avoid it?

Friend, bring the yoghurt to room temperature. Also, give a cup of warm water to drink once the kid is done with yoghurt. I am not sure if there exists a scientific explanation for this. However, it stops cold. My early days were in a hill station in India. My granny feeds yoghurt like this and I take curd three times a day. No impact so far! Give a try. No harm.

Turmeric reduces the phlegm forming properties of dairy products.
So you can just give a tadka of mustard seeds + turmeric powder to normal yoghurt during winters.
Or you can make kaddi out of yoghurt. That is by adding little gram flour, chilli powder, turmeric powder, asofoetida, diluted yoghurt, and mustard seeds for tadka.
