I have using 2 baby bottles by Morison ( indian company). Problem is just noticed that they have wrong markings of oz. For both the bottles are 5 oz bottles, but one has markings till 4.5 and the other till 5. ( What i feel is they put the markings begining lower so that all 5 oz markings could fit in one, and the other has markings starting a little higher) . To check i pored water till 3 oz in one ( the on having till 4.5 oz) and then poured this water to the other bottle ( the one having till 5 oz). Guess what ? The water came up till 3.5 oz now. WRONG READING for one of them is apparent. PROBLEM - means that either been overdiluting or under diluting the formula milk. Where can i send the complain, because i think this is a serious issue? Especially when new born babies with delicate digestion are concerned the quality should be high.
Good job... Is there a weights and measures department for your State Government, they usually are a part of the public Health department (at least in Tamil Nadu). I would send a complaint to them. Recalls are not common here in India and consumer service is next to nothing. So I would go where someone can take a quick action. Are there consumer organisations in Kolkata that take up cases like this. Consumer Association of India should have a wing in every major city. Also, you will need to measure out the water separately to 4 oz (or whatever measure) then add the prescribed amount of formula powder mix it in a separate container and then pour it into your bottle. (This was the advice given to us. But it has been three years now, I wonder if I remember right.)
Funny thing.... Tikka i already emailed them in the address given in the contact us page and on the cover of the bottle. Kolkata address and the one on the bottle dont exist. Abt the consumer forum i will find out. Thanks
