Today I spend usefully by sewing a bed spread, quilt cover with zip & pillow cover. I used fitted sheet concept in bed spread by using elastic on all corners, this will keep the bed cover always fit. Kids can play freely :)...... Please share your comments 20190330_225732.jpg

:hello:you deserved to remain proud for turning your week into productive time.
    2. The idea to keep the sheet intact with wellcro to facilitate kids play comfortably over it sounds good.
    3. But what to do to keep it intact when sheetd are put in washing machine for launder.
    Thanks and regards.

    Dear Sir
    Thanks for your kind words,
I have used the elastic not Velcro. the elastic is used in all 4 corners of the spread. When we fold the spread on side of the bed this will hold. let me try to post picture, it will be more easy to understand.

So you have put elastic on 4 corners only and not threaded it through the whole length and width of the bedsheet as the readymade fitted sheet. Please share the photo of one corner if possible to get clear idea.

Oho God not that much genius and all.... actually i have made mistake while measuring the quilt cover, now I have 2 mts of excess cloth :rolleye: if we buy it cost will be around AED 75 ? (INR1400 ) for complete set where as the selling price is double the amount. indirect saving :)

I have used 5 days worthy holiday by sewing 2 pants. Both the materials are highly elastic one is very thin. I sew this as legeen with full round elastic and the other one is thicker stretchable material I sew this as semi formal pant with back side elastic and front side splits. This process took a long time to study how to sew stretchable material the needle requirements, thread tension, stitch style etc. Very good experience and gained some knowledge. Happy to share with IL members.
