Worth The Salt Of Our Tears

Tears melt the anger
That fills you with rage
And makes you feel trapped
In a hot-wired cage

Tears help you face your fears
When you feel no one
In the world cares

Tears clean your view
It lifts off the veil of illusion
So know you know what to do

Tears clear your head
And lift off the weight of your chest
So that somehow.
You can sleep in bed

Tears are prayers
That you are afraid to speak
Lest anyone look upon you
As low and beneath

Tears are pure communication
To God Almighty
Who will show you the path
And tell you it is His wrath

Because vengeance belongs to Him
While His children must
Must dry their eyes’ rim
And sing hymns
