My brother got an attack some months back....
Doctors found 4 blockages and set a date for Angioplast after 18 days and gave him some medicines to prepare his body for the plast..
He came home and his friend advised him to have green tea + slow walking + 2 almonds / walnuts a day + one pound garlic a day + oil less fish food.
My bro have ( till now ) four to five cups of green tea + slow walking in the garden + 2 almonds in the morning and 2 walnuts in the evening + 1 garlic in the early evening + fresh fish food twice a day with lots of veg salads.
After 15 days he went to Apollo for Angioplast and before performing the Op they did the angiogram and found surprisingly only 1 and half blockages,.........
The doctors got shocked and asked him what he did in 18 days time.
My bro said and then doctors advised him to continue the same.
Touchwood he is ok today.

In Abu dhabi, One of our company loaders ( Pakistani ) had an attack and admitted in SH.Khalifa Hospital.
And doc found 4 blockages, but since health card approval issues, they gave appointment after 1 month.
In mean time he had 1 pound garlic ( mountain garlic - oru pall poondu) daily evening and continue the medicines doc gave.
After one month, he went for Op and found in angiogram that he had only 2 blockages.
Doc stopped performing the Plast and advised him to continue the medicine + garlic.
Today he is Ok and doing all work ( not heavy loading like before).

ANd the rceipes I recommend is TUNA Fish
Take
1 cup Fresh tuna fish - cut in small pcs
1 white Onion - cut in small pcs
1 mountain garlic - crushed
one green chilli sliced half
haldi little
salt + pepper + Jeera little
curry leaves little
Olive oil - 1 small spoon ( Olive oil increases the good cholestrol and thus bad cholestrol controls)

DO :
Take kadai and add oil then jeera and when jeera fries add slit chilli + curry leaves, fry.
Then add onion + garlic...Fry
And then add haldi + salt and fry,
Finally add Fish and cover cook for two minutes.
Sprinkle water if necessary and fry till the fish is fully cooked.
add a pinch of pepper at the end and GARnish with corrainder ( if you like)

This will go nice with rasam rice and also keep inside / rotate the chappati.
Keep inside the brown bread and make a sandwich...

for healthy heart ,u always include raw onion , garlic ,curd and roasted channa in your diet ,to control cholestrol.
now a days sedentary work is more than the active work and it raise our cholestrol level .30 mins walk is also gud for us .

Hi IL's

I have always looked for healthy recipes on the netand various cookbooks and this is one of the very tasty and healthy recipies that I have tried quite often.

This is a simple recipe to make cauliflower and celery soup.

The vitamin A in celeryis an antioxidant which helps to keep the lining of the arteries in goodhealth. Being extremely low in fat and free from cholesterol, this delectablesoup is a perfect appetizer for those "heart conscious" people.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

2 cups chopped cauliflower
1 cup onions, finely chopped
2 cups low fat milk
2 tbsp celery, chopped
1/2 tsp oil
Salt and Black pepper powder to taste

Method

1. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and sauté the onions till theyare translucent.

2. Add the cauliflower and sauté for another 4 to 5 minutes.

3. Add 2 cups of water and milk and bring to a boil.

4. Season with salt and pepper and simmer till the cauliflower ispartially cooked.

5. Cool slightly and blend roughly using a handblender, so the souplooks like a rough purée.

6. Bring the purée to a boil, add the celery and serve hot.

0ne spoon olive oil
onion-1
tomato-2
Badam- 8 soaked and grind
broccoli- 1cup
radish- 1/2 cup finely chopped
salt
redchilli powder
garlic-10 pods
ginger 2 spoon chopped
Heat a pan ,add little olive oil,add chopped onins ,tomatoes, chopped garlic,ginger,steamed broccoli and radiish add 1 cup water salt redchilli powder boil it for 5 mins. simple healthy side dish is ready. Garnish with cooriander leaves.
tomatoes are good source of vitamins acts as a blood purifier.little almonds are enough it lowers cholertol level.Brccoli is rich in minerals and iron.
If u like u can add cooked toor dal or moong dal
