World Environment Day - Start a Green Revolution!

    [JUSTIFY]June is here and so are the rains. The time of year when everything is lush green and alive. No wonder it is also the month when we celebrate - World Environment Day - 5th June.

    "Be the change you want to see". We are seeing a lot of lopsided development around us at the cost of green cover. So let us start making a change and where better than on your own kitchen ledge, corner of your living room, balcony, terrace or if you are luckier in your own garden? Let us start our own version of the Green Revolution! :-D

    Please plant a sapling or seeds and share your picture here with us for World Environment Day. [/JUSTIFY]

    I am starting off with my contribution here. Here is a baby okra rearing its head on a really young plant. "How come such a young plant is already giving an okra" asked my Woman Friday. What do I tell her? "Kaliyug", I replied. :-D

    Here's my contribution for World Environment Day from my backyard.
    I sowed seeds a couple of weeks back and thanks to all the thunderstorms (with tornado/flood warnings) in Austin during the last week that helped these to grow up :) Go away drought, go away from Austin!!

    Wow IL! And I am marvelling at the sheer size of your plants. Mine have taken a couple of months to grow to this size!
