Veera, don't ever worry about having a clean house and elaborate food. Its ok to have a messy house, so what if clothes are not folded, and dinner was repeated twice or thrice, the most important thing is to give time to your kids. One day they will be grown up and would not need you as much then clean and cook to your desire. For now, pay people to these unnecessary things for you. May be call cleaners weekly, plan and cook fewer things and repeat the items, order food from outside for guests, divide chores with husband and do not spend more than 1-2 hrs each in a weekend to do them. Rather pay attention to more important details, cook what your husband's and kid's favorites are, play with them, take them to their favorite places, etc. That is what they will remember the most.

My mom and dad both worked, but my mom always found time and lots of it to spend with us. They are my favorite memories, I did not then and not now cared that we had a messy home. I am proud that I was always her priority over a clean home and what would people think.

So many good tips here for young working mums. It talks about domestic management beautifully sensibly and appear realistic . I am reminded of management jargon like ABC analysis and prioritise via categorisation like important unimportant must do now immediate or urgent or later but important.
