Amma in South, Didi in East, Behenji in North, Aunty in Capital, Madam in Centre, thats women power in India !!! Please share your thoughts on this and the possbility if this will motivate more women in joining into politics.
Nice to see your post on the current situation. We proved again !!that women are better administrators not only in home, but also to rule a nation and state. We born with all the supreme characters to rule a nation. But Becoz Men want to dominate the world , they instructed women to take care of the family and to work for the family welfare.Even in that case we are the best,, in nurturing and presenting a good citizen to the society.Ofcourse what men believe, that they are dominate power,Women -Mother of the dominant power is again an ULTIMATE. Always Renu
Hi, Appreciated your observation about women in politics in India!!!! Yes,Women are the best in all fields. There are so many women around us who are silently contributing to the development of the country and welfare of the society. But politics being media focussed, women who are in politics come to limelight and well..they are doing great job too. Rgds
Renu: Thanks for your first response. While I understand the enthusiasm, I do not have any doubt in women in being able to handle the nation as well they are able to manage the home. Indira Gandhi has already proved that. But again not all women will be able to do the same which I am sure you will agree. And also my question is if this will motivate more women to enter politics to serve the nation? What are the qualities you believe women will need to be in politics? Will they bring about any change in the way politics is done in our nation?
Soumedh: Thanks for your response. Probably there are many more in politics that I have not mentioned. My question is if this will motivate more women to enter politics to serve the nation? Aspire, I had not spared this a thought till you mentioned it so specifically. But honestly, I am still not so enthused, because till such time as politics is cleaned up and politicians are straightened out, it really does not matter whether they are men or women. And frankly, I don't wish women to be counted amongst the corrupt of the country. There are better ways of proving woman power. Sorry, there may not be too many takers for this logic, but that is seriously the way I feel - totally disillusioned with the political scene in this country.
I guess corruption/greed does not spare anybody and is not gender specific. I understand since many of us feel that way, but there is always hope with new breed/generation of politicians coming into the picture.
I third that. I don't care what your gender is....just get to work cleaning up the mess, improving economy and fixing pending problems....
Many times the politicians have also the same "I don't care" attitude. I hope the women leaders change that.
