Women dont like to retire from house work , what do you feel

Working ladies get retirement from Office work, either by taking VRS after sometime or retirin g after 60 years.

But from house work we dont get retirement. But it is better not to get retirement. Its the lady who manages the house nicely and there is happiness in looking after the grandchildren , cook for them different food, help them in their day to day activiities. Grandchildren are happy when their grand parents are around as they get good knowledge from them and grandparents pamper them also a lot. Modern grandmothers are educated and know everything.

But sometimes we ladies also feel like retiring from teh house work.Men who dont help their wives while working will say after retirement I will help you. But then after retirement they feel they need rest and some of them dont feel like doing anything. Some have health problems so they need rest. For a woman whether they have health problems or not they have to run the family.

Some women have their dils to look after the family but still they dont like to retire. They take interest in doing everything. Even after 60 they are very active and can do outside work and inside work also.

Really this topic fascinates me so much.

My mother is a home maker. really my mother is so great. every day she does so much of work even at the age of 50. i admire her so much. When she is tired she feels a lot that she has no retirement but when her mood changes, she becomes so enthusiastic that she likes doing all works..

Its very pathetic when men or sometimes even working women say that for house wives no problem, anytime they can take rest. being at home as a house wife is the toughest job i feel..

Dear Viji,
A nice topic. My view is if you are healthy you can work. In my case, I get up early and do the cooking. making breakfast, lunch everything. Keep everything ready for my DIL, so that she need not have any burden and can go to the office without any worries. At night also I do everything. making dinner and tiffin.This I am doing with great enthusiasm. I feel this is proper mental occupation.

Ya working people think that people at home dont hav emuch work and can take rest but sometimes it is not so when they want rest they cant take it. Now a days woman has to do outside work and inside work also

very nice thread. what you said in the para is absolutely correct.if we dont any work, we feel sick. we should engage ourselves....in the wellknown field.....with all happiness. my mother is =very old still she is cooking and enjoy to cook.....as said by padmini, we have mental happiness as well as emotional attachment.....i think so.

Retirement.Phew!!!!
can't think that way.As you know all my daily chores,sometimes its boredom.So make some refreshment, again back to roll.Without interest can't keep the taste pertained.
Can't imagine the world in which am in a realxed way.I can't & don't.Even if my DH says take rest for a day,first i will say yes.Then automatically merged into.Thats our birth sentimental attachment to our family wellness.Can't separate us from the family work what you so called "house work".

Dear Viji mami,

Another interesting topic today.

You are right that women do not retire at all especially from house work.
This goes for my mom and my MIL. We children tell them to sit and relax which they do for sometime and after that go to the kitchen and the routine starts.

Fortunately I have a good husband who helps me a lot and we therefore finish whatever work is there and relax - talking or watching tv together and discussing various issues.
