You seem to be inferring too much and coming up with things I did not even say!! Where have I undermined the importance of Tamizh?! You sound exactly like Seeman and his minions (no pun intended!!!), who seem to survive by fearmongering that somehow everyone is out to get the Tamizh inam and obliterate Tamizh from world! You yourself say that Tamizh has spread quite far and wide outside of India, so what exactly is your issue? How does learning an additional language pose any threat to Tamizh?

I completely agree that it would be beneficial to have all administrative forms etc., be in Tamizh also, in TN, in Kannada also in addition to Hindi and English in Karnataka and so on. These forms from the CG are probably not staying within TN to be processed, and are going out to some other state for another government employee to process. Hence, a language like Hindi, which is more widely spoken and understood is practical, in addition to English.

Since you think people that don't feel the same kind of fascist affinity to Tamizh as you should not be commenting on this thread, I will leave it here!

    vAzhga Tamizh, vaLarga Tamizh!!

So writing the constitution in Hindi was a mistake and it needs to change? I don’t understand what you are going for here. I mentioned the reason Hindi seems to be the official language because someone asked. I’m not debating about the superiority of the language.

Say that to the kids in states in India that is underdeveloped.

Based on the MDI scores, the 10 least developed states are Odisha, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Odisha, Bihar least developed states; Goa and Kerala top chart: Raghuram Rajan panel report

Hindi will never install Indian-ness in the constitution or Indian citizen; the current status of Hindi in India is you can identify India's development based on Hindi speaking belt and non Hindi speaking region.

I didn’t say what happened was “right”. I just pointed out why something happened. I didn’t comment on any current occurrences.

What does this have to do with learning an additional language? I understand you abhor Hindi and associate it with underdeveloped and underperforming poor states. What I don’t understand is that why that has any bearing on the context of kids learning a third language in school. Are you telling me that we can only learn the language of a state that is top of chart? Again, that statement of mine was to a parent who thinks exactly like mine. It was a personal observation. She is free to take it or leave it. I wasn’t making an argument for or against Hindi.

I am saying this is a conspiracy by the central government to destroy the culture of non-Hindi speaking sates, the non-hindi speaking states have progressed and flourished its time for the Hindi speaking states to learn from the non-Hindi speaking sates and stop pushing their language.

Cost of keeping Hindi alive: Rs 349 crore in 3 years | India News - Times of India

Does India spend more on promoting Sanskrit than protecting environment?

Does this even make any sense ?

A simple calculation of the Budget allocation for the past three years show that the government of India spent Rs 608 crore for the protection of the environment, its management and sustainability. The government spent Rs 116 crore on protecting the environment in 2019-20, Rs 225 crore in 2018-19 and Rs 267 crore in 2017-18, as per the Union Budgets for the respective years.

On the other hand, the government spent a whopping Rs 643.84 crore on the promotion of Sanskrit in the last three years.

Fair enough. That wasn’t my take on it though. It was from the people who picked Hindi over English. I don’t see why you are upset about a fact from the history of the country. The constitution is in Hindi, we can’t change it now, can we?
