Here is an info on sprouts that I read in the net. thought of sharing with you all.

Why we need to add sprouts in our diet :

Especially during the monsoons when we might be wary of eating leafy vegetables, here are reasons why we should consume sprouts .

Sprouts contain 100 times more enzymes than uncooked fruits and vegetables.
These enzymes act as catalysts for all our body functions and ensure that body processes work more efficiently.

Sprouts are also very high in protein. Infact adding sprouts to our diet can give the necessary protein intake required by the body minus the fat, cholestrol and calories.

Eating sprouted grain helps to maintain a healthy immune system.

Sprouts help increase bone formation and prevent them from breakdown or osteoporosis. They are also helpful in controlling menopause, fibrocystic breast tumours.

Since sprouts are low in calories, they can contribute positively to any weight-loss diet plan. Eating sprouts will make feel fuller and stave off hunger longer.

Research shows certain sprouts are effective for preventing gastritis, ulcers, stomach cancer and even allergy and asthma.
