    The "I didn't realize the thread starters starting point.." is from your post, Laks.

    Folks,

    A note to myself and all who are posting in this thread - it is a hot topic no doubt, but we can always cool off in the Pensée: E & G Chatter thread, or in other light topic threads. I hope we can post strong rebuttals, point out flaws and what not, but finally it is vonly a discussion in an online forum.

    @Laks09,

    This post of yours triggered me to read Yuddha Kanda again today. Mother Sita didn't subject herself to Agnipariksha without a reason. Rama's words were stronger than Agni.

    Hmmm didn't intend to. Now that little arrow clicks to redirect to the first post. This is a recipe for trouble.:icon_pc:
    Mod, please right it if the tech allows you.

    Whew!:sweat:
    I think this may have something to do with the '+Quote' function as opposed to 'Reply'.

    I remember my mother telling me about Urmila's unsung sacrifice , which I dismissed as only a teenager could. I only understood what she meant much later.

    Enjoyed reading the below

    Thanks for the links! I have heard of this story as a folk Ramayana addition, but I did not know about the Telugu ballad.

    re: this, from the article above:
    If anyone knows of a good translation from the Telugu, please let me know. Is this sung? @Shanvy? @justanothergirl?
