Why new born is advised to wear clothes borrowed from others?

    Thanks everyone!

    Borrowing from SIL is my idea. Even though we have our differences, I consider her as my family. :)

    Looks like we're going to use new clothes for the baby. My husband agreed to wash them many times before using.:cheers

    I agree that used clothes are soft on baby's skin, however you can always wash (must wash with dye free detergent) new clothes before putting on the baby. My personal opinion is that babies outgrow clothes very fast and passing baby clothes is another way of helping the new parents with the cost of baby.

    Uma, my DD is almost 2 now and even then I wash all her cloths before putting it on her. You dont want those harsh chemicals on their delicate rose-petal-skin :)

    Absolutely! In the begenning, I received so many gifts that by the time an outfits turn came for the second time, she would have already outgrown it. So, why throw away perfectly good outfit worn only once? Make sense to pass it along.
