Yes I heard about it...these two states have maximum number of cases, and suspension of vaccination is indeed very upsetting..

I am sure they had to cancel because they do not have any vaccine to give/sell. The sad repercussion of this would be community spread of the infection because people do not (in many cases cannot) keep social distancing, and wear mask all the time. People will get infected, and close to 98% of them would suffer and survive. Suffering the infection for a couple weeks to survive, is the more difficult/painful way to get vaccinated against the virus. The easy way is to get a faux-virus solution in an injection, the way the vaccinations have always been designed.

When there is no faux-virus-vaccination, people with comorbidities would be the ones (more likely) to die, if they have to go through the infection-generated antibody route.

Given that one cannot have something (like a vaccine) that does not exist in stock, one should be prepared for (1) safe behavior -- mask, handwashing, social isolation (2) eat prophylactics - vitamin D3, and if really worried, some ivermectin, and (3) get affairs in order -- wills properly written, money in bank has beneficiary named, insurance policies are good and ready to pay up, pull-the-plug directives are all in good legal standing... etc. etc.

You ought to be imagining the positives of the presented situation. Think about ways you can train your old inlaws to proper behavior in this grim covid infection situation. Conversations about firewood prices, ICU cost-benefit decisions, oxygen cylinder shortages, and whether or not one should prioritize grandchildren's college/wedding expenses over the ICU costs for grandparents' care etc. etc.. The possibilities for imagination is endless. Imagine things that are not upsetting, and in fact, exhilarating.
    Have a good time.

They’re reading newspaper and watching news everyday, perfectly aware of the situation...
Only now due to fear of second wave, they’re staying indoors...else, couple of months back when there was temporary drop in cases in India, they were happily making plans to attend get togethers, weddings, shopping in malls for non essentials like clothes and jewellery , and visiting relatives
