I have heard the same from friends and family members who are in Bangalore, Maharashtra area vaccine is available to 45 and up age group strictly. Only cousins and friends who below 45 and are in medical and teaching field have received vaccine. And now no stock in Pune and Mumbai few zones.

In Chennai and Bangalore also the vaccine is not available for under-45 general public, unless you are able to pull strings and jump the line.

So maybe I am mistaken. Several of my college friends received their shots last week. I wouldn't expect them to be over 45. I thought we all were the same age but I never asked.

All my siblings are over 45 so they are eligible and my nephews/niece are covered through their work- medical professionals/physicians. In smaller towns near NCR, demand is not high and people who have registered have receiver the vaccine promptly.

Sorry I m unable to reveal my exact location in India due to privacy and security reasons here.
Made enquiries in known hospitals and clinics in my area and they’re considering only people aged 45 and above for administering vaccine.
It’s tough to step out and take chances with random clinics which may or may not allow..
Haven’t heard of any known people in my immediate family or friends circle in my city or other cities who are younger than 45 and got the vaccine..
Don’t know when it will be available to a wider range like 18 years or 20 years and above. And whether sufficient vaccine supply will be there that time.

Frankly, it will take at least 6 months to a year for everyone to be vaccinated in India unless the Indian government decides to bring in vaccines that are available overseas and set up many more vaccination centers around the country. It is not only the non-availability of vaccines but there are not enough facilities available to vaccinate the entire population of India. The drive for vaccine should be handled by expert scientists and physicians as opposed to politicians and that team should be given independence to handle the pandemic. The military and NGOs should be involved in mobilizing the vaccines around the country. It looks like they are currently battling with the existing patients and their recovery and this is the area where most countries are helping India now. If a vaccine is not yet available in India for less than 45 years old in your area, please continue COVID protocol such as washing hands frequently, wearing a mask in public, and continue social distancing. Let us remain hopeful that this virus will be eradicated from the face of the earth by the end of 2021.

I also hope Covid will eradicated soon and our life will come back to normal...
It’s a very depressing situation and vaccination campaign is not efficiently enough to handle the huge demand from such a large population...it has not been well planned and since beginning of this year itself I was afraid of the predicted second wave...
If vaccination had been done quickly by increasing number of vaccination centres , avoiding vaccine export and more efficient process, the pandemic would have been under control to someone extent.

My niece tested positive today. My mom is vaccinated but still worried about the whole situation. Why the schools rushed in to reopen is beyond me ? What did they achieve by reopening for a month ? It makes no sense that decisions are made without any options now kids are also suffering .
