:roflmao: The OP takes the point of view of the character Yossarian from Catch-22. And we cannot really fail to see that rationale.

“It doesn't make a damned bit of difference who wins the war to someone who's dead.”

Saqmdhya 2020, no yu wouldn't have infected the people entering the premises. The virus is not airborne and that has been made clear by WHO dismissing the apprehensions expressed in an article in Lancet magazine. The R number )Whatever that is) of COVID 19 is 2.5 and to be airborne its number must be at least 18. It spreads only through person-to person contact. That's why social distancing is crucial to combating it.

I think today WHO has updated its advisory that Covid is airborne.

    True,
Also , people are free to express their concerns about vaccines . Free discussion will bring clarity and confidence in the long run.
And it is voluntary as per now, No one should be forced. Rather, there are people who are flouting Covid norms a lot, they are the ones who are more responsible for the spread.

I am glad you see our OP's point. S/he is merely trying to safeguard their interests, and willing to go off consorting with anyone for however long it takes. That is a good thing. It would be a sad day if the government comes in and issues a special Aadhar Card for everyone who got a certificate with Modi's picture on it, and only those Aadhar is eligible to receive their toilet paper rations or some such thing.

Really really rich people are trying to escape to island resorts, in lakhdives, maldives, seychelles, or Mauritius. Far from the infected poor of India, and with good ocean breezes. This OP is relatively poor, has only a detached house in gated community in delhi.... may even be downwind of crematoria... we don't know how dire the situation is. We must appreciate those who give up their space in the vaccine queue to some other poorer, younger person. It is a great sacrifice. Let us applaud the act.

So you chose to be in the <30% of the population.
Thats alright I think as heard immunity dosnt need 100% vaccination. As long as atleast 70% is vaccinated heard immunity is acheived. You will be relying on this 70% for your safety and pray that 70% WILL take them.
But if you catch it your body wont be familiar with the virus, that is the caveat.

But vaccinations protect people else some of us would have been writing here with the dreaded polio.
We need to herd up for good things!

Toilet paper ration indeed! Rich people escaping reminds me of the Edgar Allen Poe story Masque of Red Death. In which aristocrats hole themselves up in a distant castle as an epidemic rages on and party only to find that the epidemic in person has joined the guests uninvited.
