Why Do Women Today Choose Conflict To Resolve Domestic Issues?

Actually the original post came at a great time.

Sure it offended lot of ILlites, but it helped me confront some sadness.

Perhaos fears of intimacy is what is making me scared of having new relationships.

There is no doubt a happy family is the ideal condition to aspire for. I will be very surprised if there are zero differences between any couple and how they handle it makes the big difference. When a man is rigid, abusive, look down on his spouse as though she is a doormat, regularly speaks ill of her in the presence of the extended family members and so on, what is that a woman can do?

First of all, she had to have self-confidence that none of the actions of her spouse was going to affect her life and pursuit of happiness. Only then, she would be able to make a change in the hostility that she encounters regularly. We know very well, becoming submissive only emboldens the spouse to be more aggressive assuming his methods are working well to his satisfaction.

Women standing up for themselves instead of suffering silently or crying to the parents is what the society should aspire for. You don't have to be a faminist to stand up for yourself at home. Being financially independent gives them options but it is their mental strength that gives them the ability to even attempt to set the family straight and make it conducive for raising the children if the family is dysfunctional.

Standing up for one's rights is not confrontational.

 

Yes. It's basic human rights.
