Hi feduptocore,
Like your name I am fed upto my core about the Nakhras of stars...I was really disappointed by Amir Khan's attitude. Yes, I remember watching that award ceremony too. And I fully agreed with Javed Akhtar. Without a scriptwriter and lyricist and music composer will any star shine? I doubt!

I fully endorse that view. Let us hope, now that he's been asked to come back, he shows more humility!

Actually, like Javed Akhtar pointed out there was no star presence when his Papa Kehte hai bada Naam karega from Qayamat se Qayamat Tak. He was a new face. The song was a hit because the lyrics reflected the teenage sentiments...
And the song Maa in Tare Zameen Par is not picturised on Amir khan. Yet we enjoyed it and shed tears with it. So his statement was rather foolish!

Dear Viji,

i agree with u totally.

Some of the best songs,we dont even know who the actor was, or which film it belonged to.

let me give u an example.there used to be a programme on DD called Chaya Geet, remember ? They used to show the songs, and some songs had actors we did not even know their name.

there was this song from a movie called Miss Mary, which ha d Meena kumari, and an actor, who was Rekha,t he actresses father.He sung that beautiful song,sung by Mhamad Rafi," Oh Raat ke Musafir,Chalna Sambalke,

So the song is more important than the actor, as this song proves.Amir has grown too big for his boots, i agree with u.Maybe acting in idiots, he has become one too.:biglaugh

From my experience I can tell you that many in the industry have huge inflated ego. Although they appear to be the ‘stars ‘ in the eyes of the people , one gets to know the true nature only when we near them and interact.

The argument on who gets the credit for a hit can go on till the cows come home…but obviously the main credit goes to the musicians. We all know that there are musical hits have launched many actors and have played a big role in advancing their career. But I hear Aamir has taken up this , not as an ego issue but due to fight on the royalty to be paid to the lyricists. Regards GP
