I feel that happiness is for Indian boys who get all the gpfreedom while Indian girls are. It allowed to even see intimate scenes on TV

Maybe because if they see intimate scenes in TV they will know they are being mistreated by an abusive spoiled self-entitled snake they married

Yesterday I saw a lady go with her husband because urologist is male. When she did ultrasound with female tech, she went to the room alone.

one has to remind themselves they are paying professional. It is rather difficult.

For self learning, I try YouTube videos. But I am in a society where pre teen girls where’d short shorts and bikini type tops in the dangerous trains

so society would think there is something wrong with me wanting to cover up and be modest

Throughout my service, for ills up & below navel, i got to go only to lady doctor and once i was investigated for typhoid and for giving me a shot she had chosen the site and i was tad shy to get the shot there. But she did at my home in presence of my spouse. None had any qualms. The site of shot was behind my back - gluteus.

Heart patients consult male cardiologists and he with stethoscopes listen to the sound of heart ( that often calls her hubby’s nickname) and lungs with or without presence of her spouse . Nothing wrong. Atleast they are not young!

World-wide Deliveries in hospitals - natural or cs - supervised by male doctors!

One must look for the expertisè for which payment is made!

Majority of doctors are proffessional but not all, ofcourse. Upbringing plays a bigger role. So to be on safe side, you can visit female gynec. But in worst case, if male gyne cis your only option- do not hesitate. They are generally more proffessional with women than even other general doctors, because they understand the sensitive nature of their proffession.

I always thought urologists are for men's genital issues, and gynecs for females.

yes, I would want a Doctor who understands sensitive nature of their profession.

God forbid if I need help, this is the Dr I would want.

Me too. But having babies does a number on your pelvic floor. I wish men also underwent issues like incontinence after delivery, pelvic floor issues and the myriads of other things that happen to moms. Women generally go to urologists for these issues and also for UTIs that don't go away.

I prefer going to the Dr alone. I feel like my privacy gets invaded otherwise. My time with my Dr is my private business. I don't know what DH will accomplish unless its during the pregnancy when he gets to see the baby in the ultrasound. Even then, for most general visits, I didn't want anyone accompanying me to the Dr.

I started sending my teen DD alone to the Dr when she started driving. It accomplished two things. Gave her the privacy she needs to talk to the Dr and made her independent. I also don't give inputs on what to tell the Dr, what to ask for etc. The only thing I discretely research are the meds prescribed but so far she's done great. I was never made independent young. Even for pregnancy visits if my mom was around, there is no way I'm seeing a Dr alone. Which is why I started making my DD make decisions regarding her health herself.

Have you thought about seeking a therapist? Someone other than your own family that can help you step out of your narrow frame of reference? There is only so much you can get from the forums. You can put yourself through a variety of experiences and learn from it but with the right kind of help you can accomplish much more in the same time span with considerably lesser anxiety.

Wow I like the way you raised your daughter. I got independence after this nasty marriage (because anyway my virginity is gone, what good am I now, right?)

I wish more ladies raise their daughter the way you do.

No therapist will be judgemental.
Even American therapists understand indian dynamics.
Maybe the one you went to was not good.
There are lots of good therapists available in USA.
Look into CBT and EMDR therapy.
