    Hi all,

I'm new to IL. I dont understand ur use of jargons. Wat is DH and DS? I gues H stands for Husband and S stands for Son. But wat does 'D' refer to? Is it 'Dear'?

Folks who wanted Kale recipe.. :hide: it is nothing out of the ordinary.. just our typical 'kadaintha keerai' or 'keerai masiyal' as they say in Tamil.. Pardon me if my writeup gave a big buildup!:bonk

Anyhow here is the socalled recipe:

    • pressure cook 2 bunches of kale (just leaves) + half cup of Toor dhal with 2 cups of water, a pinch of turmeric, 1 tsp of oil, 2 garlic pods for 4 whistles.
    • strain the cooked leaves (save the water) and grind it to a fine paste
    • In a pan, heat oil, season it with mustard seeds, curry leaves, 3 red chillies
    • add one half red onion finely chopped, saute well (u may add salt)
    • add the ground paste and fry for couple more mins on low flame
    • Now add the strained water, cooked dhal
    • optional: add 1 tbsp of tamarind pulp (soak tamarind in water and squeeze the juice)
    • bring the dish to a boil (might take about 5 to 7 mins)
    • Serve hot with plain rice or rotis
    Happy Cooking, Folks! :thumbsup
