    Glad that you like it. I like all the songs from Punnagai Manna but Enna Sathan I don't hear much because of the tragic scene that follows that song. I love Yethetho Ennam song though. I have just put Narumugayae and Aagayavennilavae (just these 2 songs) in repeat mode and hearing it. Somedays I go inexplicably mad like this:rant

    True CB, but I prefer the "Chinnath thaayavaL" for the lovely tune and lyric more. I am a big fan of lyrics than music with one big exception - Ilayaraja.

    But in this case, even his music was dominated by Vaali's lines [in many songs of his, I should add].

    "thaayazhudhaaLE nee vara,
    nee azhudhaayO, thaai vara!"

    Just to add one cheeky number -
    "Unmai sonnaal mannippaayaa?", from aaidha ezhuthu.
    One lovely word from Vairamuthu there where he used the word "thookkal" for more instead of "kooda" or "adhigam". -rgs

    You are right RGS. Chinna thayaval is a lovely, touching song. But I don't listen to it because it makes my heart heavy as we were discussing early in this thread. I too like lyrics better than music (which reminds me of nenjukkul peithidum maamazhai song).

    I like "unmai sonnal" song too. Aayudha Ezuthu sent me on a trip down my memory lane. There is another song in the movie "Goodbye Nanba" which contains a line "Andha saalayil nee vandhu seraamal, aaru degreeyil en paarvai saayamal, vilagi poyirundhal..."

    My friend met her DH for the first time while he was walking past her in a road and eight years later they married after a huge struggle to convince both families. She wrote this verse in a scrapebook she created for their first wedding anniversary. Her DH think she wrote it herself and praised her (though she told him later that its from a movie). She is now happily married for 4 years with a son of 2 years old. God bless her. Sorry guys didn't mean to bore you:hide:

    Kannukku mai azhagu
    Kammangaadu - rare song and its good to listen while driving. Makes you feel fresh. Not sure you would get this in net now!
    No problem song from love birds :tongue
    mettupodu mettupodu from duet is also good.
    Ezhu swarangalukul from apporva raagangal

    I have many old and older numbers but wonder how many will be able to remember them. Also I can't provide the links to many of them too. :-(
    But will update with one song or two whenever I find time, friends.
    To conclude, "maalaip pozhudhin mayakkaththilE naan" - an awesome song with fantastic lyrics from the film Bhagyalakshmi. Sung beautifully by P Suseela.
