Which school is best? MVM or Meridian??

Hello Ladies,
Offlate, its admissions season here in Hyderabad and almost schools nearing completion of admissions. We need to join DS for LKG.

We have shortlisted two schools.........Maharshi vidya Mandir and Meridian.
MVM ...its in kondapur, school has big campus but seems like students are more in number. SO, the ratio might be 1:50 or so. But cost is reasonable. For LKG, it will be around 50K.

Coming to Meridian, it will cost around 1.5 lkhs, but school has big campus again. But classrooms are in underground but AC facility available.

Unable to decide, please pour in your ideas. Already Chirec has completed admissions.

I have gathered some information regarding admissions in various schools in Hyderabad.

Sister Niveditha School - CBSE - Admissions Open
DAV Public SChool - Post Pongal admissions will be open
DPS - Jan 3rd, school will be reopened, applications will be issued thenon!!
Oakdridge INternational school -Admissions Open
Obul Reddy - Admissions are closed
Chirec - closed
BVB - not picking up phone

Hi Priya,

I have gone through good reviews about 'Sentia global'.

In between MVM and Meridian I vote for MVM.

Meridian -KPHB is near by to my home. I don't have a good impression on it, but will try to give you constructive feed back with all the details .

One of my friends had bad experience when she visited MVM in lunch hour, aaya was sweeping the floor when children was taking lunch near by,teachers never tried to stop her doing that. Toilets also not clean and hygenic.

I think BVB issued the forms for 2011 from dec15-22

Thanks. Even when I looked at MVM, I too got some non-hygenic feeling.
ANyways, We are not opting for it.
Meridian seems to be pretty commercial.
The academic advisor was saying - If parents both work, that too in pretty reputed firms and having single kid will be given preference.
Wht a nonsense statement na!!
She is happy to give admission to my kid because we have satisfied the criteria. But I dont want to see my kid in a pure commercial place.

We are awaiting for admissions into DAV and DPS early January.
So, MVM and Meridian is ruled out as of now. My hubby is okay to join in Meridian. Lets see if admissions are exhausted everywhere, then I kept it as a last preference.

As a freelancing facilitator, I have the opportunity to teach at most of the schools in hyd. I have been and still go to meredien, obul reddy, BVB, DAV, HPS , International schools like DRS.

Having first hand experience of meeting the teachers, children and the school infrastructure I can conclude that the school is only a platform and many so called elite schools are not really that good, I mean to say they don't match the fees we pay.

It is totally a triangle between parents, teachers and the children. I see each child is different in the same class.

For instance BVB, jubillee hills, primary is not good but high school students are excellent.

Go by your needs, wants and your gut instinct.

I have visited their Vanasthalipuram Campus
It's under construction now, but they said that they were about to close admissions because they reached nearly 1000+ students and kept us in too much of hurry to take admission.
Not impressed by the teaching demo class, so decided not to go there
But I heard good reviews about Kukatpally campus, so judge thoroughly and wisely
