    Yeah I heard also..but the character naseeruddin shah potrayed is an ageing star whereas rajini was at his prime when he acted with silk. That's why I was wondering.

    Nope its definitely no Rajini.. They just used the name Surya"Kanth" to emphasize the highly paid star quality or rather divert the attention from the original star.

    i said with lot of fiction,actually there was some kind of protest rajini fans during it's release time
