Hi, We are looking to enroll with a new health insurance plan. Which are the most popular / reliable health care providers in New Jersey? In particular, the insurance which has least copays, least out-of-pocket deductables and especially good coverage for GYN/pregnancy. I checked with few websites, but have no clue of all those terms they use :-(. I thought opinions and suggestions from Indus Ladies will ease my job. We had United Health Care through my husband's previous employer, but now as we moved to a new location, we have to find one ourselves. Regards, Indu
Hi, I thought of suggesting United health care after reading your complete message, i got your situation, because that is what we have. Its good. Try Great-west, we had it before, now our company has changed to United health care. All the best.
hi indu! guardian is one of the best we have had(our's is a group plan but they have individual too).. now our's is UHC. its also good. but you are switching from UHC so try it. blue cross blue sheild is another one.. but some times i heard they create billing problems but it entirely depends on the situation ... so you can go for it or try some local companies which will be lil bit cheaper and good sometimes.. anoo
We have Aetna , before we had UHC, blue horizon and guardian too. but i think it basically depends on what type of plan u get, HMO or PPO etc etc. there are so many diff plans with diff rates/copays etc, so check it out in detail abt the charges for going in network/outof network, specialist doc copays, deductibles etcetc.
Hi Gokushka, I am looking for a good medical insurance. Great west works good in New Jersey? Could you please provide the website address? Thank you in advance.
Hi Anusougan, We had Great west some 5yrs back through our company. Try United Health Care /Aetna most of the clinic here in NJ accept those. All the best.
Hello , These would be the points you need to check before you go for a health insurance .. 1. Choose your insurance company wisely 2. Plan according to your future needs 3. Make an informed decision about the type of health insurance 4. Choose the right amount as ‘sum assured’ 5. Check the empanelled hospitals 6. Understand the premium calculation process 7. Read the fine print (clauses) 8. Go through reviews and compare policies 9. Check flexibility of the policy 10. Check if the company offers a no-claim bonus or discount HOPE THIS HELPS
