There are people who love their protein powders, and they'll defend the benefits of these supplements until they're blue in the face. However, the truth is that these powders are highly processed and are often heated to the point where the protein is denatured. What does this mean? Well proteins in that state are virtually impossible for the body to recognize and use. It results in higher levels of acidity and toxicity in the body. So how is it that consuming something that is supposed to be healthy for us can also end up having so many side effects? I am sure that you wouldn’t want to subject yourself and your child to these harmful effects especially during pregnancy. I would suggest consuming fresh milk which is a rich source of nutrients and minerals that your body requires on a daily basis.

Why do you want to use such powders? Why not go naturally?

If you are non vegetarian eat chicken /egg/ fish. If vegetarian eat peanuts, Dry Fruits and Nuts, Lots of Dals, Channa..All these contain sufficient proteins.
