    Hi Goos:

    Welcome to Indusladies!

I am guessing you should get fresh gooseberry in season in Indian grocery stores.

If you can do with dried powder, then Amla powder is available in most Indian shops again.

    Hope that helps.

Hi IndusLadies, I actually live in Maidenhead as well and don't get to London much. Can someone recommend some Indian grocery stores here in the Maidenhead area? I am tired of jarred and packaged indian food and wish to begin preparing it myself.
    Thanks for your help !

Looking at the need of the Indians there, i have in mind a very good idea of an Indian Grocery & Spices Package.

Here is what i plan. I run an online Indian grocery store.
I plan to launch a 1 MONTH INDIAN PACKAGE.

This will have all the Indian Groceries like flour, dals, spices, ghee, papad, pickles, etc etc for a family sufficient for a month.
    (Customised as per requirement)

This package can be then renewed after each month.

Not to forget , this will be home delivered. Pricing wise, this would be much much cheaper compared to that in UK.

Please provide your suggestions if i should start the service.

    Jyoti
