Where do you store your old clothes which are not in use?

    Hi ladies,
I have lot of Indian clothes of my two daughters, and my panjabi dresses and sarees.
I want make space on my cupboard by putting the things away. But I don't know where to store them. I have some Indian clothes which I can give away. But don't know where to give. Always thought of taking them to India and give to the needy people there, but never had space to take them.

I have silk sarees , and kids pattu lahangas which I want to store, but don't know where to store them.

So does anybody know where I can donate Indian clothes?
    I live in Cupertino, CA.

And where do you store your clothes which you want to save for later?

    Thanks

Sorry no pointers on donation sites.

I use space bag to store off-season clothes. While it does not work as great as shown on TV, it definitely helps in reducing space.

You can try asking at temples/Indian places of worship about whether they might be interested in donated clothes.
Thrift shops will also take these clothes. I have seen Punjabi suits and lehengas at our local thrift shop. If the clothes are expensive and in excellent condition, a consignment store may be interested.
I have clear plastic storage bins to store extra clothes. I keep it in the basement. If space is limited, you can try the space bags, or get boxes which will fit under the bed.
