Car drives because my daughter loves it.
In winter, we mostly go to Malls, walk around. I too don't like to go out in winters.
    In summer, state parks, shopping

It can be challenging to balance the energy levels of senior parents with the enthusiasm of young ones. Here are some ideas to help keep the young ones happy and engaged while considering the seniors' comfort:

    1. Plan Low-Key, Kid-Friendly Outings
Local Adventures. Picnics in a nearby park, visits to children’s museums, zoos, or aquariums.

Short Trips: Nearby day trips (beaches, hiking trails, or theme parks with rest breaks).

Relax at Home: Backyard camping, DIY crafts, or movie marathons with snacks.

Let your daughter make a list of the places suitable for week-end and vacationing. To avoid irritation exasperation to her, avoid mentioning to her about your lack of interest and or that you had had already visited many such places or you feel depleted of energy.

I would recommend arranging a small get‑together for your daughter and her friends every weekend at each other’s homes. That way the kids stay occupied and enjoy themselves, while you also get to relax at home. On the weeks when it’s at someone else’s place, you’d only need to drop her off and pick her up. It’s a healthy outing for the children and a more relaxing routine for you too.

Weekends are so busy for me with classes for kids on both days. My daughter has competitions most weekends out of city/state. The weekends she doesnt she has to attend her classes. She travels with my husband. I am so pooped after driving to classes on Saturdays when my husband travels with my daughter that I just want to stay home on Sundays. On the weekends that my husband takes over the classes, all the cooking and chores take up so much energy that I have none left to do anything interesting.

There used to be a phase where I would love traveling but was unable to travel much due to circumstances. But now, I have no interest in traveling anywhere, even for any kind of long holidays. My motto is East of West my home is the best!!

I agree with you - where do you even go on every weekend? Malls, movies, restaurants are all so boring and blasé that if I step into one, I get overwhelmed and want to get out asap.

I swear I had a better social life back in India before marriage. But maybe that was a different phase and age of life because I dont feel like doing the same things anymore.

Yes @anika987 we are getting older.
