    Friends

I am actively looking out for brown rice in Dubai or Sharjah. Can someone tell me where I can get it? I saw a bag of red raw rice (with the words 'a product of Sri Lanka' written on it) in Lulu @ 5 kg for 20 dhs.

But first, is red raw rice and brown rice the same?

Can someone throw light on one or both the issues?

    Thanks in advance.:)

Sorry i cannot help you regarding your first query :hide:

But the second one yes :). Hat red rice and brown rice are totally different as per my knowledge.Brown rice is the healthiest form of rice.Red rice is similar to the one we see in Kerala(big sized)

Cindhu: Many thanks for your reply. I knew you would reply. :):thumbsupWell, I have been hunting for brown rice since we met in 'What colors were in ur plate' thread. But no success yet.

Anyway, here, we get red rice and kerala (matta) rice separately. That's why I had this doubt. Let me see if someone can help me.

Btw, in Chennai, where do you get it? As the last option, I am planning to get it from there.

Hope all is well with you. :):thumbsupMy best wishes always for you.

Spinneys and Carefour both have brown rice. You can check the Tilda brand.

    Hope this helps.
