Absolutely loved your snippet. It is so relatable. I often think of relationships between siblings pre- and post- marriage and can't help observing how things change once a spouse and children appear on the scene. All those days of childhood frolic, mutual love and affection get replaced by a self-serving one, distance and indifference. It is certainly very sad, but then that is life.

Am very glad that Natesan soon realized that, but it was only when the shoe bit him and he had to handle Vimala's hospitalization all alone. He did not realize her reservations the first time around. But he is forgiven for at least entering the kitchen to help wash the vessels.

Thanks Satchi for the kind words.Absence for a long time has not dampened the warmth of the ilites in welcoming me.I went through a harrowing time with multiple health issues.Doctor's sermon that at 87 I was comparatively better off than others in the same age group , was not a matter of comfort.The only saving grace was the concern and understanding of my two daughters-let me call them angels. I have decided to rough it up doing my favourite things though my reading has taken a deep dive.
Once again thanks for identifying with the subject.

Truly apt title - when silence speaks. I hope young couples these days find ways to find love in relationships. Better late than never with Natesan and Vimala - much needed in a relationship. People change, circumstances change we just have to learn to understand our spouses better! Good story sir! As you said in my other post about Aunty, to the question if yours was a love marriage.....now it is! At any point, marriage can turn that!
