When Moderating becomes Censorship...

Do you feel Moderating in some IL sub forums is tuning to Censorship?

    I know. Two of the moderators got in and responded to the thread and warned us that we were being watched. When we didn't back down, they had a change of mind, deleted my thread and made my bloody day!!

    I didnt know this thread existed. I was in depression at the time the thread was created (for real, not joking) - so I was not active in IL at that time.

    I voted now.

    Seriously, we need LESS moderation. Moderation is only needed in extreme cases. Moderation should not be doing censorship, and that is something IL Mods should pay attention to make sure they are not doing censorship.

    Anyway, my 2cents. :my2cents

    Malvi sometimes our IL people also crossing their limits while speaking na??????
    then whats the solution for this..... to correct thier talks in right way?

    I just visited your CP and got to know about the deleted thread and the deleted posts.

    I too feel that your thread on deleted posts should be left undeleted.
    Communtiy should have a say on its existence and use.

    Hope your thread gets resurrected.

    PS:
    I enjoyed the lighthearted post on your name and your reply in the same good sense. Luckily I caught it just before it went missing and had a hearty laugh :)

    Devapriya, I have evidenced more instances of IL moderators crossing their limits than IL members. Moderators need to step in and intervene only when something goes totally out of control and moderating powers are being grossly abused now in my opinion. I do not visit all the sections of IL, but wherever I tread, this is a general trend and I see this as a detrimental trend to free speech.

    Right Malvi.... but i heard from someone that moderators do give warning for the first error and if once they violate again, then the thread will be deleted as so....not well known about this Malvi... but i am just asking whether its true???
