Durga Pooja is celebrated during the last five days of Navratri. In 2013, the festival starts on 9th October and ends on 13th October, followed by immersion on the 14th of October. Durga Pooja also referred as Durgotsava or Sharadotsav in the Hindu festival that worships Goddess Durga. The festival marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the evil demon Mahishasura. Durga Pooja is widely celebrated in the Indian states of West Bengal, Bihar, Tripura, Odisha and Jharkhand for five days.
