when do you go to temple after periods?

According to what i have heard from my mother, grand mother - we can got to temples ( without dvajasthambha) on 4th day only if bleedin stops and u have taken the oil bath. atleast prochikanum .

If the temples are hanuman temple or narasimha temple we can go on after 4th day but after taking head bath. And also lighting of lamp in the house is to be done after 4th day .. even though we can go and pray in the pooja room on the 4th day..

 

How about if your having a 9 days period? Then what do you do?
