Sorry for the delay.battling a tuff spot in life (the usual?)
Here's hoping for your prayers and blessings and my post:

    Re:Contest for August 2007
<HR style="COLOR: #ffffff" SIZE=1>What would I give my dad?Especially when hes 80....and has no use for material possessions? I'd gift him a promise made of several parts.....
1)Dad..I promise you a carefree life and no tensions about anything...
2)I promise you time...as much as I can....spent together reciting french numbers..and slow leisurely walks..just like you did..when I was two...and make it happen.
3)I promise you patience...when I feel frustrated because you won't keep pace with my frenetic pace...
    4) I promise to read to you when you wont be able to read for yourself...and tuck you in when you nod off....and make sure that a spot of sun doesn't sit on your head....thru a window....
    5) I promise you dad..that I'll make sure I'll pass on your strength in adversity and your rich laughter to my children...and your habit of saving all the coins left over after the day is over...
6)...and your habit of being fierce with those who could work but begged and oh-so-kind and gentle who were maimed and could not.
    7) Above all dad....I would give you ..over and over again..the warm hugs which you gave me..when I was down on hope....and my hand in yours....always:)

In everlasting gratitude to the noblest person ever....

    Warm Regards,
    Meeta
