Anyine read the egg, The Egg

What will I be in next life.

Will I be the kindly next door neighbor

Or the dog that slobbers happily when she sees me..

    What about thee

Will you be your H, MIL, or SIL

Or that great uncle who included you in his will

    Where will we be

Will we still interact with each other

Or will our circle of confidants grow

    Where will we be

In the past when India was ruled by Maharajahs and Maharanis

Or in ancient times when deities and gods were represented by

    Lingam and yoni

Who will be be in next life

    What shall we do

Because there is no other person

    In this vast Universe

    Other than Me and You

This could be in the poetry section! Yesterday, I had a narrow escape on the National Highway.
A deadly truck tried to topple my speeding car from sideways. For a second, I thought I was gone. It was pure luck that I escaped. I didn't let the erring driver go unpunished, though. I punched him on his jaw. He became senseless. I sprinkled cold water from my water bottle, brought him back to sense.

I want to be a book on the dusty top shelf of a library with vaulted ceiling rooms. Peace and quiet as no one will be reading paper books any more. At sunset, the other books and I could come out of our shelves .. go around.. and read what we want. Like the toys in the Enid Blyton books from my childhood that came alive when no humans were around.

    CE, Nice poem. Open-ended.

Sandy, Mr. T and Rihana have commented. Wishing the thread Godspeed. : )

@Tamrakshar is right. This should have been posted under the Poetry Section.
Rebirth is a very interesting topic, both for believers and nonbelievers. I believe in rebirth because it gives me a possible chance to be born as cheeniya again. So I keep committing enough sins from time to time to be reborn as cheeniya. The proposition of 'No rebirth' scares me. What will I do without a rebirth? Like 'The Mousetrap' of Agatha Christie I would love this cheeniya story to be played on again and again. It may not interest others but it is fascinating to me!

Being reborn as yourself again and again ... anything you'd change?

    I tend to speak poetically.
