Jaya Misal is served with Pav It is made of mixed sprouts and very spicy. This is my recipe for misal Mixed sprouts 1 cup Misal masala( Kpra brand is good) 1-2 tsp Dhaniya powder 2 tsp Chilli powder 1-2 tsp Turmeric powder a pinch Onions chopped fine 3 tomato chopped fine 2-3 Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp Garlic kopra red chilli chutney 1 tsp(optional) Jeera 1tsp hara Dhania chopped fine Kolhapuri misal mixture or any type of mixture In cooker heat a little oil and add jeera. when jeera turns colour add 3/4 of chopped onions and fry add chopped tomatoes and fry a while. Now add salt to taste chilli. dhania turmeric powders and stir. Add ginger garlic paste. and fry the masala. Now add misal masala powder and the sprouts and pressure cook. Take care it is not mushy. Add garlic chutney. Serve hot with chopped onions, hara dhaniya and mixture to give it a nice crunch. It is usually had with buttered pav or bread of your choice. PS I am not a cook who cooks to measurements So please feel free to adjust the ingredients to your taste.
