    Red chilly chutney(moram kaara chutney)

    Ingredients:

    Dried Red chilly-10-15
    Tamarind-few piece
    Garlic-medium size 8 pieces
Onion-small 8 or big means quarter part
    salt
    asafoetida,mustard,uluthamparuppu
    oil
    vinegar(Optional)

    Procedure:

Take a pan add light oil put the red chillies fully without breaking, garlic, tamarind, salt and onion

fry it well till it becomes golden color allow it to cool

Grind it well with little water amd make it as paste.

Take a pan add more oil then put mustard, ulutham paruppu, asafoetida then grinded paste with little water.

when it becomes thick and oil floated means yummy yummy red chily chutney will be ready

In final stage add vinegar lightly for flavor and for puilipu and for preserving it

This chutney suits for dosa, idly, curd rice, poori, bread and roti

Sonia I am not giving the quantity of tomatoes etc as I just take some and accordingly put chillies, etc

    Tomato thokku

    Tomatoes
    green chilli
    ginger
    coriander leaves
    Rai
    Urad dal
    Chana dal
    oil
    salt
    haldi

Cut tomatoes, green chillies, ginger. Take a kadai add oil, rai, urad dal, chana dal and when the dals become red and the rai splutters add chillies, ginger and tomato and fry for sometime, also put salt and haldi. Then when it is cool grind it with coriander leaves.and kadi patha. You can also red chilli powder to it.

Again put oil in kadai and fry this paste till it becomes thick.

    For pulingeri

    Tamarind paste
    Cheppakizangu
    Coriander seeds
    chana dal
    urad dal
    methi
    Kadi patha
    oil
    salt
    haldi
    LG powder

Take tamarind paste and add cheppakizangu , salt, haldi and lg powder and let it boil till the cheppakizangu is cooked. In a kadai add little oil then add coriander seeds, both the dals, methi and kadi patha and fry it. When cool grind it with coconut and mix it with the cooked cheppakizngu in tamarind and let it boil. Then give thadka with rai, llg powder, methi powder and kadi patha
