Hi Singaporeans, This is my long time doubt which keeps running in my mind.. whenever I have to pack for SG. I'm little heavy.. you can see my signature for my weight(Not little very much heavy !!) . So wearing a jeans & T's is kind of uncomfortable for me. though DH says it looks good on me. I dont want to wear it uncomfortably.. I just want to wear them.. atleast when I'm few inches less . Is it must that you have to wear formal pants/shirts or atleast Jeans & tops when you go out or incase If I have to goto work.:confused2: May sound like a stupid thread !! But please help me.. "BE A ROMAN IN ROME" concept just dont work for me because of my weight.not that I cant wear it at all.. I can wear it if people dont look at me differently.. But is it still ok to stick with Some Kurthas & leggings even though I dont want to look too vintage by wearing Salwar Kameeez always. except some occasions. I just want to know how people feel about dressing in Singapore.. this may not be like a major concern that I have to put my time on.. But I'm a person who likes to get dressed well very much !! :bonk
if you are planning to work formals are better..i hv seen indian ladies in salwar /kurtas etc. also in offices and malls. So do plan to hv some formals in your wardrobes
Sugan, You can see most of Indians here!so don't worry abt dressing. You can wear kurtas,shalwar..I used to wear saree/shalwar if I o to temple..otherwise kurtas..
Thank you Cutiesri. I'm planning to carry one from India. thats why thinking whether its worth bringing from here.. or should I get there.. thats y want to know the price there.
Hi Sugan, Welcome to SG dear You can wear salwars, tops and pant and of course formals to office. I wear salwars most of the weekdays and wear indian style tops and jeans on weekends. It works well for me
