Reviews in Tamil and english weekenders magazine section came out with very good review. It clicked in box office. BOX OFFICE IS IT A GAUGE TO MEASURE? | Indusladies
Mirage (Malayalam) - Started to watch because of the director Jeetu Joseph (Drishyam`s) but the thriller is somewhat predictable. Too many surprises at the end. OK thriller!
I watched a very beautiful and feel good movie, Tourist Family, that touched my heart. I had read very good reviews in newspapers and even from Tollywood directors and actors praising the movie when it released. Finally, I watched it on YouTube yesterday. I loved this movie more than I loved “ Meiyazhagan”. It’s a film filled with emotion, humor, community values, and a strong social message.
I watched A Newport Christmas that premiered on Hallmark yesterday. When its holiday season, I am a sucker for Christmas movies. If its a time travel Christmas movie, its double dhamaka for me. This one is about a socialite from 1905 who wishes for a different life at the same time that a Christmas comet passes by. Lo! Behold she is transported to 2025. How she finds love and discovers her own history forms the rest of the story. Nothing new but I enjoyed this holiday time travel movie.
A Very Vintage Christmas . When a vintage store owner finds an unintended box of mementos in her consignment, she decides to find the owner of the box and return the souvenirs to her, with the help of a charming stranger. Very mediocre movie. No spark between the lead pair. Entirely avoidable movie.
Hallmarks Flipping for Christmas. Story of a workaholic interior designer/architect who goes to a small town where her brother in law is left an old mansion with a catch. That catch is that there is a very handsome co beneficiary. She wants to flip and sell the home whereas the co beneficiary wants to turn it into a bed and breakfast. What happens after, forms the plot. Very predictable one time watch
I wanted to give it a try after reading your review here, as I’m a fan of mystery tales. I watched it and didn’t expect the twist, and I really enjoyed the whole movie. Also,it inspired me to start reading the book “ The woman in cabin 10”. Thank you for sharing your view here.
The title “the woman in cabin 10” reminds me of series of 20 odd attempts made to assassinate the Baroness Margaret Thatcher, the 'Iron Lady', was the first female British Prime Minister and the longest serving PM for over 150 years. At #10 Downing Street London . I presume her bio pic already hit the silver screen. Any idea of the title of the movie.
I Watched the movie Homebound on Netflix. The film is based on journalist Basharat Peer’s 2020 New York Times article, ‘’Taking Amrit Home” and it really happened in 2020 during the pandemic. This heart wrenching film showed many problems: caste bias, poverty, religious discrimination, and unemployment. While watching the movie, I felt the reality of being a Dalit or Muslim in India, especially for those living in poverty. Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jetwa did an amazing job.
