Sarfira (Hindi, 2024). I had high hopes as it starred Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, and even the beautiful and talented Iravati Harshe. Total bakwaas movie. Stopped watching after 30 painful minutes. Very surprising as it is directed by Sudha Kongara and based on Soorarai Pottru. I believe Soorarai Pottru is much better, though Sarfira is a scene by scene remake. I will try watching Soorarai.

But thanks to the movie, I read up about Capt. G.R. Gopinath and how he started Air Deccan.

I watched it after reading about that movie was reaching seventh spot in Netflix's top 10.
I really enjoyed to watch the movie even though some scenes were dragged and looked like a drama. Yeah, it is hard to find such innocent and pure heart people in real life. That's why watching that movie gave me pleasent feeling to heart and I felt same when I watched the movie Laapata ladies.

Very true. If we meet those innocent people in our real life, our reaction will be different.
But watching in the movie is like escapism from the present world, that`s what each one of us wish.

Watched Ctrl on Netflix. Shows the reality of AI and apps today. Dark movie though

I watched Devara. I exactly knew what would be the next scene. thats how the story is. All I saw was the overhype in every scene for the hero as if we cannot figure what is gonna happen. Also Prakash raj is there just to narrate the story - an attestation of good deeds of the hero. Such a classic actor but of no use of his character in the movie. Nothing to talk abt Jhanvi, no space for work. I felt like the director wants to hype the movie to bring out like another bahubaali. climax for part 2 is just like kattapa scene. Only thing I enjoyed is the story happening around sea and the show on fishermen life scenes was good. Overall the movie doesn't work for me :(

Watched Lubber pandhu. What an experience! Awesome movie. Thoroughly enjoyed.
I enjoyed many dialogues in the movie. Witty, thought provoking and funny.

    Lucky Baskhar (2024, Telugu, Netflix)
It is rated 8.3 on IMDb, well deserved. A bank employee enters into a not fully legit scheme to make money. Nice story, it gives equal time to the bank people interactions, impact on the hero, his family. Good acting by Dulquer Salmaan. Nice to see familiar faces like Tinnu Anand and Sachin Khedekar. Dulquer's wife played by Meenakshi Chaudhary was a new face for me. She is cute and acts well too.

One thing I’ve felt conflicted about is how movies in the past 10-15 years show the main character doing questionable things, but still manage to make us feel sorry for them, even admire them, root for them.
