Elevator (2012) - Thriller, good

Nine people aboard an elevator in a New York City skyscraper, got trapped on the 49th floor. They were on their way to a company party on the top floor. As you imagine, the mix of folks who got stuck on the elevator includes,

• Iranian security guard, Mohammed who served in American army
• Indian Television reporter and her fiance, Don
• A pregnant lady (who had an affair with Don)
• Building owner Henry Barton and his 10-year old grand daughter
• A Jewish comedian who was claustrophobic
• Overweight person, Martin
• Alcoholic widower Jane, who claimed had a bomb with her, died of heart attack

The elevator maintenance worker couldn't reach the building due to traffic, it was the late evening hour. The walk talkie, cell phone, 911 emergency, Live TV news coverage - nobody could help them out, soon enough. The people fought tooth and nail to get out alive from the elevator. Did they escape?

After long timing, I watched a good thriller.

Aaru Sundarimarude Katha (2013) Malayalam - family drama, time pass

Prathap Pothan acted as the TV channel owner, the son-in-law with wondering eyes. Nadia acted as the house wife, encouraging their daughter's tennis career. Chachi, the rich lady who was trying to protect her daughter's (Nadia) married life. Narain acted as Nadia's childhood friend trying to help her in the time of family crisis.

As the name indicates, the story revolves around 6-ladies.

 

Priya, few words about Thanga Meengal. I heard mixed reviews; either you will love the movie or you will hate it.

 

What is your opinion on this movie.

 

Not bad though . Can watch it once . Loved the song aanatha yaazhai ...

 

Watched 555 . Bharath six pack ellam vachu kashta pattu irrukkan . Namba thiruttu VCD la kooda aatharavu kodukalai na eppadi :-D

 

Did anyone watch Raja Rani trailer. The story seems to be nothing new but the making style looks interesting. I feel Jai will overshadow Aarya in this movie. The songs were good when compared with Yuvan's 100th film Briyani.

Moreover, the choreography for Raja Rani is "Sheriff", the one who won in Vijay TV "Unagalil yarr adutha prabhudeva". The dance steps in the song "Hey baby" looks fresh and innovative.

The movie is releasing on 27th September.
