what kind of hair cut shall i go? my friends are insisting pls suggest

Hi all,
I have a round face with small forehead. i have a semi curly hair and had a laser cut once which did no suit me much.. I just love my hair when i leave it but my friends are asking me to straighten my hair for my round face or just get some hair cut done as i look too simple.i never had straightening done before . I am kind of bit fat say 66 kgs for height 5'3- 5'4.I had hair loss problem due to stress and recently my hair is bit back with normalcy..Is it right time to get any hair cut done? If so what best suits me and how to maintain it?
will straightening create more hair loss?My dad is telling me not to cover forehead because of astrology issues. Pls suggest me on this. Currently i have hair just below my shoulder length and i always tie a plate.

i never had hair straightening done as i have a bad hair fall and my friends who got hair straightened said that it will increase the problem.
i would say u r lucky to have natural curly hair and i think curly hair looks good on chubby face .
laser cut and all looks nice only if ur hair is straight else it will not suit.
u can try any one option out of two , if u dont want to give chemical treatments to ur hair u can go fot steps cut . like the one madhuri dixit has, for that ur semi curls will look very nice , it is easy to maintain also.
but if u want modern cuts like feather and laser u will have to get straightening done , but please do it in some reputed saloon.
also i would suggest even for day to day dont make plait , it looks very plain. u can ties in pony tail. if u get steps it looks very pretty in pony tail also. also high pony is in fashion these days !

Hi Lakshmi,

I agree with CM, don't have your hair straightened as it may increase your hair loss problems with all the chemicals and all. Also straightening will make hair only look more thinner and too close to your scalp showing lack of density. Step cut is a great choice for wavy/semi curly hair as it would show density and bounce.
