What kind of dress to wear in mauritius?

Dear INdusladies,

I am back after a very very looong time .

I need ur help in deciding what to wear in Mauritius. We are planning a trip along with my husbands cousins family in one or two months. My dressing is usually kurtis to sarees and chudis. My cousin co-sister is quiet fashionable and trendy. I certainly dont want to wear chudi and kurti on this trip. I am willing to try anything something new. Please suggest what and all i can wear on this trip and also if possible where can i purchase all this in bangalore/online

Capris are more comfortable for beaches.

hi niveditha,
You can try jegging or jeans with tunics. if you are slim/normal you can try t- shirts as well.
generally tunics lenght is below bottom so it feels comfortable.

What a coincidence ..am goin to mauri too in another 2 mnths and my first international trip too..
I tot of capris but my parents r like then dont post pcs n fb wid capris..
So just yday i went and bot tops for jeans..like short tops... Like kurtis too...

If u dont mind, try tank top with capris or skirt.If you are not comfortable with short skirt,you can go for the long one with matching tops and a hat..You will look amazing on that. Or else,long / short floral printed dresses with hat..Enjoy your days in Mauritius..;-)

Hi you can wear floral cotton tops or beach tshirts or tops which are very much cool and of course jeans or jean skirts.. I wear jean/denim short skirts to beaches. Dont wear cotton or thin skirts because they tend to fly up unecessarily. If you are going for dip in the sea you can opt for a full swimsuit.

dear friends, thanks a lot... lovely ideas here... i am planning to buy capris, one pair of good jeans, and few tops... i will experiment with them first in the coming days and see how comfortable am with this.. and then extend to skirts.. i have a doubt , if u wear knee length dresses/skirts etc, what should u wear inside..apart from innerwear...sorry it sounds silly.. but i really dont know...

You get those small skin tight fits tights like how we used to wear in school days under p.e skirt..
Or if you buy thick material long skirts there is no need...
But for dresses am not very sure..

I think for a regular knee length skirt its enough to wear your regular underwear as we always wear. Depends on where you want to wear it. If its to the beach and as i said earlier you can go for denim ones. For any other purpose you can wear cotton skirts as you desire and what you wear or dont wear under is your choice.
