As Jawaharlal Nehru said, “You can tell the condition of a nation by looking at the status of its women” Employment status of women has improved significantly in the recent years.

They work for IT companies, Multi National Companies,… They serve the community as Doctors, Engineers etc.. They run businesses and aspire to break the glass ceiling in the corporate world. </m:defjc></m:rmargin></m:lmargin></m:dispdef></m:smallfrac><m:smallfrac m:val="off"><m:dispdef><m:lmargin m:val="0"><m:rmargin m:val="0"><m:defjc m:val="centerGroup">

Most of the women are likely to prefer employment status that best holds their familial obligations. Some of them give up their job due to myriad commitments. But their desire to work doesn’t stop with that!! They bring a change in their career and begin to work from home.

Apparently, to bring up a child in today’s economy both the parents need to earn. Do you think both the parents need to work to combat with today’s economy?

Am a teacher in profession....currently am pregnant with my first baby so have to resigned my job for babys sake........sure i will start my career after delivery.......

Ofcourse employment status will make a women to feel strong, secure, indepent and also supports her family well......

I am a homemaker. It is me who has choosed this no one forced me to do anything in life.
It is not that I have not worked in the past. I have, under my Dad who is a CA. After marriage when my kid started going to school use to get lot of time so use to run a montessori and was also a Amway distributor which I use to work from home but when I left India I am full time homemaker.
Yes I agree that in today's life both have to work for a living. But I did not feel need for it.
Today I am financially secured and an independent women.

After working for 9 years in IT field, i decided to take a break and pursue higher studies. Will continue my career after i complete my course.

I have worked before my marriage and have been a homemakers by choice. and i have never had any regrets about it till date.

Dear Helen,

My parents are working and hence we....their children feel so secure in society.
No need to control our wishes!
No need to get Education loan!
We are not dependent on anyone for money!

Job is must for girls not only for money....they get self - respect and would not feel low in front of others. Their decision also will be considered in family.In most of the families, husbands dominate their wives if they are just home makers. Because Men has the mentality that Women inside the home would have no knowledge about society. In some cases it is true.....to be honest!

Why should we girls need to waste our degree? Just to sit on home? Getting education will get more worthy only when we go to jobs and gain something other than money!

I am doing part time job though am a student. It gives me mental strength and self satisfaction too!

I could not earn fully for my education, but am not a burden to my parents now! Its what i need!

I was working full time till a month back. Now we have moved to a new city, So for the time being, my employer have asked to work from home. This is a temporary arrangement. After this I will be looking for a job in IT but we have decided that I will work for one more year. Once my DS starts schooling, I want to be a homemaker and do some work from home if opportunities are available

As I am from a lower middle class, I used to work part-time from my 10th grade till graduation. From graduation till date i am working continuously without any break. Even for my delivery i was allowed only two months leave but i am happy that I have my mom with me who takes full care of my DS. Though its not permanent that i need to work, but still i prefer to earn some money and keep my DS full secured.
