    Thanq all again..

i am using cotton wicks(i believe)..my grandmother made few and sent me very often..
i tried single wick..yes i think because of thickness(generally we use to club 2wicks) flame is high as well as burning more time..
at present i am started using small tea light candles.all my wicks r too much thick..i am not even able to seperate them.
i informed my GM to do thinner ones next time..

Thank you all for ur wonderful suggestions..
    Till now i haven't find lanterns here(Kanaka Raghavan)..ofcourse i never tried seriously..

    Thanks
    Vandana

Yes vandana, you have to stick the silver foil above the lamp if you are keeping in a place like shelf or in any closed place. But as you are keeping the lamp in open place (I assume so) as you mentioned you are keeping it in corner of the study room, you can follow the Idea of using lantern.
If you have ikea in your place check there Lanterns - Candle holders & candles - IKEA
